CLUB CHARITY DAY
The Paul Harrington-Brown Four Nations
Trophy
SATURDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER 2009
The 4 nations charity day is fast
approaching and fund raising is going well.
The 2 local charities that will benefit this
year are Aspire and Keech Cottage Children’s
Hospice. Significant contributions such
as ours enable these children to plan ahead
with confidence and continue their wonderful
works. Your contribution therefore is
invaluable.
We have a fun day of golf “teed up” for you
with your four Captains rallying you on the day
Fiona Holden (Scotland), Nigel Weekes
(England), Geoff O’Kirby (Ireland) and David
Talbot (Wales). We have mulligan balloons,
nearest the pins and straightest drive
and David Gleeson’s 2 for 1 voucher gamble
on the 12th.
The order of the day:
11:30am Bacon rolls and Sausages
(weather permitting) and registration
12:30pm Shotgun
start
6:30pm onwards Drinks
reception and Dinner
9pm Auctions of
Promises
The event will be a shotgun start at 12:30
in teams of four playing 4 ball format, best
two Stableford scores to count.
In the evening, there will be a drinks
reception, a buffet, a champagne raffle and
prize presentations, finishing with the
entertaining Auction of Promises
So, to make this another Porters park
special day and to help make a difference you
can:
- Play on the day which will cost £30 for
the day for members or £20 for
guests/dinner only
- Continue to sell the raffle tickets to
your family, friends and colleagues. There
are raffle tickets available on the bar or
available from the Secretary’s office
- Counterfoils and cash to be returned to
the club office by September 25th.
- Sponsoring a tee or green for £100
- Donating an auction promise, a raffle
prize or cash
